When the weather turns cold, the action starts to heat up in the WWE. With the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania right around the corner, look for the TLC pay-per-view to kick start the holiday season for the WWE. TLC should be an incredible event with several title matches and numerous foreign object bouts.
Take a closer look at my predictions for WWE TLC 2012.
“Santa’s Helper” No. 1 Contender’s Diva Battle Royal
The good news for the male demographic is that this is the free WWE TLC Pre-Show match. With the departure of Beth Phoenix, I predict Taminu Snuka will get a push to be the next dominant Diva.
Prediction: Tamina Snuka wins
Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. Team Rhodes Scholars
Now that Cody Rhodes is back from his injury, I predict Team Rhodes Scholars will quickly return to their winning ways at WWE TLC. There is absolutely no buzz among fans for Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara at this time.
Prediction: Team Rhodes Scholars defeat Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara
U. S. Championship: Antonio Cesaro vs. R-Truth
Although R-Truth is one of my favorite active wrestlers, he can’t compete with the heat of a European U.S. Champion. Antonio Cesaro will retain his title at WWE TLC in five different languages.
Prediction: Antonio Cesaro defeats R-Truth
Intercontinental Championship: Kofi Kingston vs. Wade Barrett
For well over a year, Wade Barrett has been on the cusp of becoming one of the WWE’s top wrestlers. I predict he will take a major step towards that end by winning the Intercontinental Championship at WWE TLC.
Prediction: Wade Barrett defeats Kofi Kingston
World Heavyweight Championship: Big Show vs. Sheamus (Chairs)
The WWE has to do something to make people care about the World Heavyweight Championship. That won’t happen as long as one of these two holds the belt. Big Show will win at TLC but I predict a new contender will soon emerge.
Prediction: Big Show defeats Sheamus
John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler (Ladders)
The WWE wants John Cena in main events like Ryback wants to be fed. But I can’t even comprehend the injustice of having Dolph Ziggler lose his MITB briefcase. If there’s any justice in the world, Ziggler will win at WWE TLC.
Prediction: Dolph Ziggler defeats John Cena
Team Hello No and Ryback vs. The Shield (TLC)
With The Rock and Brock Lesnar getting set to return, Ryback’s push may be coming to an end. Although I’m not a fan of The Shield, I predict they will win at WWE TLC to remain relevant.
