Best Free Weight Loss Plans for Women

Dieting is big business today, and there are lots of diet plans out there to help you lose pounds. The problem is, many of them will make your wallet lighter as well. However, there are lots of free diet plans out there for the taking. Just Google ‘Wight loss plans for women’ and you’ll be inundated with results. Here are some of the better ones available.

Dotcom Women 1300 Calorie Plan

In order for you to lose weight, any diet must control your calorie intake, no matter what bells and whistles a particular plan comes with. This plan claims you will lose up to 20lbs in 6 weeks, and this should be achievable, although if you have a lot of weight to lose, the 1300 calorie limit is rather low.

The beauty of this plan is that the meals are worked out for you, along with calories, carbohydrates, fats and proteins, so if you can’t be bothered to count calories, this diet is for you. The meal plan is varied, and allows for snacks during the day, so you shouldn’t feel too hungry. There’s even a diet shopping list provided, so all the work is done for you.

The only problem you may find is that the diet is repetitive, as you are only given 7 meal plans, but some women may be prepared to put up with this if it means they don’t have to work out calories, etc.

Now Loss Look Good Naked Diet Plans

This is a site that takes weight loss seriously, and there is sure to be a diet to suit your needs. Whether you have a major weight problem, just need to shift the last few pounds, or if you need to get into that dress by next week, you will find what you need at Now Loss.

I still have about 25lbs to lose, so I clicked on the appropriate link. I was asked to input my height, weight, age and activity level, and then I was given a daily calorie count and advised to eat 5 meals a day for optimum weight loss. The calorie count was more generous than the Dotcom Women plan, giving a starting count of 1350 – 1700 calories a day. You can work out your own meal plan, or use one of the Now Loss daily or weekly menu plans.

There are also various workouts to choose from, and maintenance advice for when you reach your goal weight. This is one of the best free weight loss sites I’ve come across, as it gives the most flexibility.

Spark People Diet Plans

Spark People is a completely free site which covers 150 countries. The only problem I have with this site is that you have to join to get to the information you want. Like the other sites reviewed above, the Spark People Eating Plan is healthy and well balanced, and it’s calculated on your eating preferences and activity levels. Spark People does everything that paid for diet programmes do, but it does it for free.

So what’s my problem, you ask? Well, within 5 minutes of joining, I had encouraging emails from people in my dieting ‘team.’ Now, I’m a sociable person, but this is all just a bit ‘full on’ for me. It’s my own fault – I could have checked that I didn’t want to join any teams, and I would have still had access to all the tools and encouragement that Spark People has to offer. However, if you have a lot to lose, and you need encouragement from others to keep you motivated, Spark People could be just right for you.

These three sites are, in my opinion, the best places for free weight loss programmes for women. I’ve researched other sites that claim to be free, but just offer basic services. If you want the full programme, you have to pay for it, and while the payment is modest – only $2.99 in some cases – you can get the same advice for free, so why pay at all? Visit one of these sites soon, and you’ll be well on the way to being a good loser.
