Entertainment City, Kuwait’s Largest Theme Park

Even in different countries they have great amusement parks to go to also. Entertainment City, otherwise known as Al-Madina Al-Tarfihiya, in Kuwait, is a great theme park to spend the day at. It is located in Al-Doha on the North side of Kuwait Bay and 20 kilometers from Kuwait City.

Entertainment City, which is Kuwait’s largest theme park, was opened in February of 1983. It is located on 124 acres of beautiful Arabian country. The project cost approximately 80 million dollars to build the park. The theme park is managed and operated by the Kuwait Touristic Enterprises Company. They try to provide a unique and fun atmosphere for all ages. The Company is also in charge of encouraging tourism, controlling entertainment projects, and providing programs letting others know what is going on in the area.

The park is open Sundays to Fridays in summer and winter, so everyday but Saturdays. The only thing is the hours change a little bit depending on the season. They are open longer in summer time than they are in the winter. And don’t worry, they have warm winters too! On Mondays the park is closed down for a women’s day only. So no men allowed on Mondays!

Not too long ago, during the period of bad looting in the area from the Iraqi Invasion. There were some areas of the park that were destroyed by the Iraqi people. Some of the parts had really bad damage to it. Items were also looted and taken back to the city of Baghdad. But they have remodeled again, and they are now finally back up and running.

The park is considered to be one of the best amusement parks in the world. There are three different theme parks in one. The theme parks are the Arab World, the International World, and the Future World. They are each unique in their own way and have many different attractions. Some of them include City of Dreams, City of Thunder and Hurricanes, City of Sinbad and Ali Baba, the African Boat, and the fantasy cinema. The park offers more than 40 different rides, lots of games to play, and stage show unique to the Middle East.

The one I enjoyed the most was the big rollercoaster called the Lighting. It went upside down and looped around really fast doing barrel roles. The raft ride was also one of my other favorites. You sat in a big round thing that looked like a barrel. It was big enough to fit about 10 people in it. Plus you can cool off on this ride because you get a little wet.

The park is meant for people of all ages. It is surrounded by gorgeous green scenery, which on some of the rides you get a great view of. There are some awesome places in the park where you can order and try some specialty foods from there. There are also many different shops where you can buy souvenirs and other merchandise.

There are many different hotels to choose from in the area if you want to spend the night there. The Persian Gulf is also nearby and a lot of other different night time entertainment and awesome restaurants to eat at and enjoy a Middle Eastern meal. The only thing you need to remember is take lots of money when you go to the park. There was no where to get money from in there. So make sure you have enough for the day.
