Top 10 Best Uses of Breasts in Film

Breasts are a very popular part of the female anatomy, and they are no strangers to the silver screen. But with so many breasts being shown in cinema, some filmmakers have tried to find ways to make their movie scenes involving breasts stand out. Without further ado, here are some of the best uses of breasts in cinematic history:

Total Recall (1990)
This sci-fi thriller featured a prostitute with something that got her a lot of extra attention: a third breast. I’m not sure how many males would really want to be with a girl with three boobs, but I’d probably be surprised by how many would get over the initial freaky factor and be all about that extra fun bag.

Deadly Weapons (1973)
Well, you can’t ignore this sexploitation trash film when it comes to breasts. It features the incredibly big breasts of Polish stripper Chesty Morgan (not her real name, of course). And when I say big, I’m talking gargantuan: A 73-inch chest measurement, to be exact. The whole point of the film is to show her character smothering a hitman with her ‘deadly weapons’, and the rest of the movie is just kind of written around this one climatic scene. Yes, the film is horrible, but what a way to go.

Just One of the Guys (1985)
In a less-trashy, much better written film, this 80’s teen comedy is all about a girl who dresses like a guy to be taken more seriously in her pursuit of becoming a journalist. She attends a rival school as a male student, where she befriends a real boy, experiences some difficulty in hiding her identity in the guy’s locker room, and attracts the attention of a female student. She falls in love with her new guy friend (of course), and the greatest moment of the film has to be the ending when she rips her top open to reveal her breasts to him, to which he responds, “Where do you get off having tits?”

A Clockwork Orange (1971)
This very violent film (though tame by today’s standards) features one rape sequence to the tune of ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ where main character Alex and his droogs dance about to the song before proceeding to begin to strip their victim by cutting holes in her futuristic outfit where her breasts are. It may not compare to some of the rape sequences in films that have followed it, but it is a very memorable scene that is still disturbing to watch today.

Frakenhooker (1990)
And back to trash film (they do get creative with their boobs in B-movies). This outrageous take on the classic horror film of a similar name has a mad scientist trying to resurrect his girlfriend after she dies in a horrible lawnmower accident by taking her head and attaching body parts from prostitutes onto it to create the perfect woman. The scientist himself is also decapitated later in the film, and his newly-formed girlfriend decides to give him the body of a woman. It’s just a creepy scene seeing the head of this mad scientist on the body of a very well-endowed woman.

Exit to Eden (1994)
This raunchy film definitely had its fair share of sex scenes, but the food fetish sequence where Lisa has her breast covered with butter and cinnamon is one of the most memorable. It probably inspired a lot of fetishistic cinnamon toast lovers to do the same, but it’s always a lot messier in life than in film, and butter is very difficult to wash off. (Also, where was the sugar?)

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)
One of the sex scenes in this film manages to combine two of guys’ favorite things, boobs and booze, in a pretty creative way by having actress Elizabeth Shue (playing a prostitute) entice her alcoholic lover by placing a bottle of booze between her bare breasts. So ladies, if you want to know how to really get a guy’s attention (and get his little friend standing at attention), take some notes from this high-class hooker.

Cool Hand Luke (1967)
In this scene, the breasts aren’t bare, but they really have an impact. This film is Paul Newman at his best, and it’s definitely a film about the boys since most of it takes place in a prison. However, one scene involving a pair of breasts does manage to make its way into the film as a large-chested young woman washes her car in view of the prisoners, pressing her soapy, wet breasts all over the windows of they car she is washing. It may not seem as powerful or noteworthy of a breast scene as some of these others, but you have to imagine how frustrating that occurrence would be to men who haven’t been around women in years (especially ones that look like the girl in this film).

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)
You may not get to see Elizabeth Hurley’s naked breasts in this film, and it’s not naked breasts that make the scene in this film great; it’s the way they are covered up. At the end of the film, we see Elizabeth’s breasts covered by melons, a painting of breasts, and pitchers of milk, among other things. So while there is no nudity, the scene is still cleverly done and fun to watch.

The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005)
This film about a man who can’t get laid to save his life has one great scene where Andy is on a speed-date and his date’s whole boob makes an unexpected appearance from beneath her low-cut shirt. It’s a pretty funny scene, and one that probably had more than a few women in the theater looking down to check and make sure everything was in place.

So that completes yet another shallow, sexual list. But there is a reason that breasts are so prominent in film: audiences love them. It doesn’t matter if they are starring in a sexy, bizarre, disturbing, or funny scene; they always manage to steal the show, and it’s doubtful the star power of these important parts of the female anatomy will die down any time soon.
