The strips are very easy to read. I never had a problem with them. On the first day that I was ovulating, the result line was very light. As time went on, it got darker. Just make sure that you do the test once per day, at the same time each day.
If you are going to purchase these strips, I highly recommend that you purchase some small cups that you would usually keep in your bathroom, like Dixie Cups. I found this the easiest way to both collect the sample and use the test strip.
