What’s Better Than P-90X? My Fitness Plan!

Creating your own fitness routine can be tough, especially if you are exhausted of conventional ways, but I have found unique ways to make exercising a lifestyle instead of a New Year’s resolution. I yearn to get fit now without forcing myself to do exercises I don’t enjoy. Since I stay busy with a two year old, I find that shorter periods of exercise throughout the day work best for me, and I’ve since noticed the pounds dropping, and the muscles forming.

Want to get fit? Here is the trick:

Ways to burn fat weekly

I don’t waste hundreds on a gym membership, but I still find ways to lose weight and get in shape at home. I purchased a pair of five pound dumbbells ten years ago, and they are still my greatest investment. I spend 30 minutes a day lifting the weights. I do bicep and triceps curls with them, and sometimes I go for a walk outside incorporating the curls as I walk for the allotted time. I probably look silly, but I’ll take that along with a rock solid body. I then do three, two minute intervals of jumping jacks. In between the jumping jack intervals, I focus on my abs by doing three, five minute intervals of crunches. My tummy crunches vary from traditional sit-ups to holding dumbbells over my head and lifting my legs toward the weights while lying on my back. Overall, I spend less than an hour doing my workout, and the exercises are fairly simple. It doesn’t take P-90x to get fit, but it does take a daily commitment.

Lifestyle decisions

While my routine isn’t action packed, it gets the job done, but I also make wise lifestyle decisions. If you want to spend the least amount of time working out, stay healthy, and still lose weight, you will need to eat raw fruits and vegetables with my plan. I drink plenty of water, and prepare fresh fruit smoothies daily, and cut fresh vegetables to snack on.

On top of those routines, I am always the parent that runs after my kid on the playground. I go through tunnels, down slides, and do push-ups and monkey bars. I try to make everything I do a form of exercise to complement my daily workout and enhance the benefits. You don’t have to have kids to follow my plan, but you do need to look at every situation you encounter and think of how you can stretch, walk, or climb, to keep your metabolism running strong.
