If Julios Liquors’ in store selection of beer is any indication, the folks who represent the place clearly know good beer. On June 1st, 2008 from 1pm to 4pm, they will host the annual Spring Beer Festival, offering you samples from a selection of over 250 great brewers. There will also be food available from local merchants. This is one of the very few Boston area beer festivals that do not charge an entry fee to sample the beer. Just show up, and present your proper 21+ identification and that’s right, participate in this awesome Boston area beer festival for free!

Coming up soon is another fun Boston area beer festival hosted by the Boston Harpoon Brewery! Tickets for this 2-day Boston area beer festival are not offered for sale in advance but the hosts claim to have a large enough capacity and plenty of fresh beer to accommodate everyone who shows up to pay at the door. Ticket price to enter is $15 with proper identification. Your ticket will give you a souvenir pint cup and access to a selection of Harpoon and UFO beer, for which you can enjoy for $5 a pint.

There will also be BBQ style food available to purchase. Those Harpoon Beer enthusiasts who have attended Harpoon’s infamous Harpoon Brewstock beer festivals in the past will be pleased to hear that this June 6 & 7th Harpoon Summer Session Boston area beer festival will be similar. In other words, this event will be outside under tents with live entertainment in the form of music by local bands. As Harpoon says, this Harpoon Summer Session will be very much like the old Harpoon Brewstock beer festival only they plan to “kick it up a notch…Summer Session style.”

The event will take place at the Boston Harpoon Brewery on Boston’s Waterfront. Public parking will be available at th3e garage across from the brewery for a fee or take a free shuttle to the event from the pickup location outside of South Street Station T-stop. (Shuttles will depart from stops behind the Federal Reserve along the Fort Point Channel off Summer Street.

This year the museum’s infamous outdoor Spring Beer Garden Beer Festival event will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2008, from 6pm to9pm. The Boston area beer festival will offer a wide variety of samples from some of the best brewers in New England.

Advance tickets can be bought from the Higgins Armory Museum website for $35 non-members, $25 members and $5 for Designated Drivers. Or, buy your ticket at the door the day of for $45 or $5 for Designated Drivers. Tickets get you through the door and access to all the beer samples.

Harpoon calls the American Craft Beer Festival the largest of its kind on the East Coast. Tickets are now on sale and according to veterans of this great beer tasting extravaganza the event sells out fast.

The Boston located beer festival will consist of three sessions over two days on June 20 & 21, 2008. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to sample over hundreds of select handcrafted beers from a variety of 75 or more brewers, some brews of which are not even available for sale on the East Coast.

This 3rd annual Green River Brew Fest Boston area beer festival will offer craft-brew tastings and samples from 50+ breweries from all over the U.S. This will be an outdoor event- lawn chairs welcome- and will include great live entertainment by Primate Fiasco, a local band. The beer festival will also include a cigar bar and food available to purchase. Tickets cost $20 and get you through the entrance and access to all the beer samples you can get.
