Docksider is a sports bar that locals flock to. You will more likely see people to come in for a drink and socializing than eating, but they have great food also. It used to be the home of the former lighthouse keeper, and it sits at the base of the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. The name may fool you into believing that it is a Mexican restaurant. In actuality, they serve very well prepared Italian food. With friendly service and low prices, Tio Pepe serves good pizzas, wonderful lasagna, and mouth-watering spaghetti along with other great Italian dishes. Going from Horseshoe Bay Beach right into Tio Pepe requires no effort on your part; there is no reason to change for this casual dining experience. Just grab a seat on the porch and prepare yourself for some good eating.
Rustico Restaurant & Pizzeria
For a mixture of Bermudian cuisine and Italian dishes, look Rustico in the village of Flatt’s. Conveniently located across the street from the Bermuda Museum, Aquarium & Zoo, this restaurant has won awards on their wonderful entrees. It is usually packed since they offer some of the best, and cheapest, food on the island. During summer months they are almost always booked, so make sure you come early.
