River East’s Treasure: East Bank Club

Located in the heart of Chicago’s River East neighborhood, the East Bank Club has been hailed as Chicago’s country club in the city. East Bank is the place to go to mingle with other powerful social elites of Chicago, such as Oprah and former-member President Barack Obama.

Besides the abundance of workout equipment and machines, East Bank is also known for its many, high-quality instructional classes. From cycling and Pilates to swimming and tennis, East Bank has it all. Furthermore, all classes are taught by certified instructors.

East Bank also offers many complimentary health services such as massages and even has its own full size salon (for both men and women). Another great aspect of the club is the restaurant. Yes, East Bank has its own restaurant. Maxwell’s at the Club is more of a relaxed environment where you can hang out before or after a good workout, or even without working out at all! Maxwell’s has a full grill with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

It also has a juice bar. During the summer months (when the roof-top pool is open), the roof-top juice bar is open. It may be referred to as a juice bar, but they serve alcoholic drinks, too.

So if drinks pool-side, overlooking Chicago’s downtown, is your thing, check out East Bank Club! But be warned, it does come with a heavy price tag.
