Product Review: Jeep Wrangler Double Stroller

Since I am a foster mom I have tried many double strollers.

While admittedly, there are double strollers that are certainly more superior to the Jeep Double, here are the reasons why I love mine and a few reasons why its lacking:

*Folds up very small and compact, just a little thicker than a single umbrella. Fits well into small trunks or even in on the floor in the back seat of any car. I drive a small 4 door Saturn with a small trunk but I can fit my Jeep double stroller, Pack and Play and a Bumbo seat in the back of it.

*Folds up quick. I have fought with many bulky double tandem strollers trying to fold them up. One time I almost left one in a parking lot as I was so frustrated trying to get the thing to fold up. With the Jeep Double Wrangle it takes about 60 seconds tops to fold it down and loaded.

*Gets through all doorways unlike other double side by sides. Sometimes it’s a tight squeeze but I can push it together and squeeze through smaller opening doors.

*Lightweight!

*The wheels are swivel and I must have swivel wheels. The swivel wheels make it very easy to steer.

* Goes over terrain fairly well, while not as well as a jogging stroller but its good enough for going around town and on evening walks.

*Very comfortable for little ones. Has a little pillow padding for the head. Because the seats recline you can put a newborn in. I strap the baby in and then pad with a soft blanket with the seat reclined. They absolutely love the view!

* Individual pouches on each side to hold items.

*Easy to clean up!

*Lap belt is wonderful, quick and holds baby in!

*Wonderfully affordable. Cost about $85.00 but you can find them in excellent condition on Craig’s List for half.

Here are the Cons:

*The sunshades are absolutely worthless. They are thin, come off too easily and really do not provide adequate shade from the sun. That being said, the Jeep Double Stroller wouldn’t be good for taking long walks out in the sun. I personally took mine off and tossed them. However, I use mine mostly for going places indoors. Its perfect for those quick trips to the post office when you just want to get in and out without spending 10 minutes assembling your stroller.

*There are not any parent trays and there isn’t a basket or anything to hold you stuff underneath. It only has two small individual pouches on each side. I just hang my purse and diaper bag over the handles. You can also purchase additional add ons for strollers.

Overall, I love this stroller. It is the one I carry with me everywhere. For long walks in the park during the day I use a jogging stroller but for going around town, the Jeep Double Wrangler is perfect!
