Here is a snack idea to go along with your preschool lesson plan on frogs.
Frog faces: Give each of your preschool students a scoop of lime sherbet or mint chip ice cream on which you have placed two M&Ms;, raisins or chocolate chips to serve as frog eyes. You might also add a small piece of red licorice to each scoop of lime sherbet for the frog’s tongue.

Fine Motor Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Frogs
Flippin’ frogs!: Find some of those small plastic frog toys that you press down to make them leap. Let your preschool students work their finger “muscles” with these toys. They will be working their giggle boxes, too!
Sensory table: Fill your preschool classroom’s sensory table with rice that you have tinted green with food coloring. Also, add some small plastic frogs. Let your students play with the green rice and frogs, picking the small items up between their fingers.

Leap Frog: Have your students play Leap Frog either indoors with all of the furniture pushed to the side of the room or outdoors, on the lawn.

Frog shape painting: Give each of your preschool students a large sheet of white paper on which you have drawn the outline of a frog. Have your students cut out the frog with safety scissors. Now let them finger paint the frogs with green finger paint.
Frog collage: Again, give each of your preschoolers a large sheet of white paper on which you have drawn the outline of a frog. Have your students cut out the frog with safety scissors. Now let them glue green buttons, ribbons, rice, glitter and yarn on the frog shapes.

Pre-math Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Frogs
Set out the letters f, r, o, g that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word frog for your students to use. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word frog. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word frog. Now have your preschool students count out 4 frog shapes to set beneath the 4 lettered word.
Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Frogs
For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters F and f lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. Do the same with the number 4.
For older students, provide an example of the letters F and f and the number 4. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.
Write the word frog on your preschool classroom’s white erase board. Let your students copy the word frog onto the white board with green dry erase markers.
