The Olympic Hotel opened in 1924, during the “Roaring Twenties.” The opening night cerebration of this historic hotel is considered a milestone in the history of the Pacific Northwest. Olympic Hotel introduced new standards for lavish social affairs, previously seen only in large East Coast cities.

Fairmont Olympic Hotels is an an Italian Renaissance style building that has been part of the history of the Emerald City. The hotel was built on land that was originally intended for the University of Washington. Originally here were 750 rooms, but in the 1980’s $60 million renovation reduced the number of guest rooms to 450, increasing the size of guest accommodations. Mayflower Park Hotel

The Mayflower Park Hotel, built in 1927, was opened under the name Bergonian. The hotel is the oldest continuously operating hotel downtown. Ornate detailing on the facade evokes a sense of history. Inside the hotel are high ceilings, stained glass windows and a five tier crystal chandelier (salvaged for the Grand Ballroom at the Olympic Hotel).
