What the generation now calls “Classic TV” is what many of us grew up watching in our childhood. Classic TV for my generation includes, but not limited to, Emergency, Adam-12, Marcus Welby, Gunsmoke, The Bionic Woman, The Bionic Man, the original Battlestar Galactica, Gilligan’s Island, and a slew of other shows.
There are quite a few of these shows that can be watched now on the internet. This article will help you find sites that have some of what I call the classics and how to find them on the sites listed. Many of these shows can not be found on TVLand tv station.
NBC.com Classic Tv Shows

The A-Team. The A-Team stars Mr. T, George Peppard, Dwight Shultz, and Dirk Benedict. The four Vietnam Vets were framed for a crime they didn’t commit go undercover to help those who are innocent of crimes they are charged of while running and hiding from the military.
Alfred Hitchcock Hour. The Alfred Hitchcock Hour really doesn’t need any intro if you have ever seen any of the movies or at least one episode of this particular show.
Battlestar Galactica. The cylons in the new series have nothing on the Star Wars type cylons of the original Battlestar Galactica. Nor does the new series have anything on the characters of the original show.
The Bionic Woman. The Bionic Woman, a spinoff of The Bionic Man, stars Lindsey Wagner who was critically injured in a skydiving accident. She received bionic parts like her boyfriend in the Bionic Man, Lee Majors character, did from the government.
Other classic or vintage shows that can be watched on nbc.com are Buck Rogers, Emergency, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Night Gallery.
CBS.com Classic TV Shows
Hawaii Five-O. Hawaii Five-O was the comparison to today’s CSI shows. Each week the detective team of Hawaii Five-O would solve crimes in Hawaii. Anyone that has ever watched this show will remember the catch phrase “Book ’em Danno.”
MacGyver. MacGyver seems to have been the only guy at the time that could build anything from a piece of twine, an aluminum can, and his trusty sidekick, The Swiss Army Knife.
Perry Mason. Anyone who has seen any of the Perry Mason movies on Hallmark has already received an inside look into this original lawyer show.
Star Trek- The Original Series. Anyone who is a Trekkie doesn’t need an intro into this original all time sci-fi show. The original Star Trek show starred Leonard Nimoy, George Takei, William Shatner, and a cast of favorites that have been seen in various other shows over the years.
