Top 5 Best Fruit Juicers

With all of the added health benefits of making your own juice from fresh fruits, investing in a juicer is a smart choice. But making that choice isn’t always easy. There are lots of fruit juicers on the market. Some of them are junk. And some are a worthy investment. But how do you know you are getting a good one? Take a look at my Top 5 tried and true picks for the best fruit juicers out there.

1. Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL: This is the most efficient fruit juicer I have ever used and the one that currently stays on my countertop. It has a very wide feeding tube. If you are not familiar with juicers, this is an important feature. This means that you can skip all of that chopping and use whole fruits and vegetables. This is really a time saver. Also, it creates a lot of juice. This might seem like a no-brainer but you would be surprised at how many so-called “juicers” leave you with hardly any juice. This helps cut down on costs too. Extra perks include that it has dishwasher safe parts and the company boasts that it is the world’s fastest juice extractor.

Price: Here’s the kicker. You do have to pay for quality. In this case, $299.99 worth of quality.

2. Breville Stainless Steel Countertop Juicer: This is a smaller version of the above Juice Fountain Elite. It is slightly lower quality than the Elite, but don’t be fooled. This is still an excellent juicer. It has the same large feed tube to eliminate messy chopping. It is efficient and easy to clean as well. It also includes a speed control dial so that you can customize the speed of the juicing process depending on the type of fruit or vegetable you are juicing.

3. Waring JEX328 Professional Brushed Juicer: This juicer has a stylish stainless steel design and like the Breville has a large tube feed. It is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup and is user friendly for even the least technologically savvy. It is quick to use and pretty much completely dries out the pulp to maximize its juicing potential. My only complaint would be that it’s noisy.

Price: This one is a lot more economical, but might not last or perform like the Breville. Still, at $69.95, I’d say it’s worth it.

4. Omega 4000 Juicer: This juicer has a very powerful motor, yet is relatively quiet. It can juice just about anything. It is durable, easy to use, and most importantly, turns out excellent juice in good quantities. However, it does have a smaller spout, so there may be some chopping involved with this juicer, but overall it’s a good quality product.

5. Jack Lalanne’s 10091 Power Juicer: You may have seen this one on TV. It has mixed reviews, but personally I think it’s actually a quality juicer and I know better than to trust products sold on infomercials. It dries the pulp completely (this is how you know your juicer is efficient by the way). It fits full fruits so it is a definite time saver. For the price, it is a good bet if you’re just starting out with juicing and want to experiment. Some say it’s easy to clean; others say it’s a hassle so it’s really a toss up on that one. I’ve never actually owned this particular juicer, but a friend of mine does and it works great!
