Is your toddler sick of sitting on your lap or sharing space with you on the couch? Well it might be time to get them their own couch. The Elmo and Friends Couch is a great choice. I recently purchased this at Toys R Us near my house for $30. My wife and I were originally looking for an Elmo chair for our two year old son, but the Elmo couch seemed that it would be even more useful.
The reason the Elmo and Friends Couch turns out to be more useful is because it is much more than just a couch. The Elmo and Friends Couch is both a couch and a pull out bed for your child. It is also very portable so you can take it from your house to a friend or family member’s house when you visit. At 28 inches long and 17 inches wide the Elmo and Friends Couch fits nicely in our living room at my house. It is only slightly longer when pulled out as a bed.
We weren’t sure about this purchase when we first made it considering that it really isn’t a toy, and it seemed like spending $30 on furniture for a two year old might be a bit of a waste. Boy were we wrong. Our son instantly fell in love with it. That night after we brought it home as we were getting ready to watch television with our son before he went to bed my wife and I put him on our couch with us. He quickly slide off the couch and said “No, watch tv my couch” and took his snack with him sat down on his couch and smiled looking over at us. That was just the start of his preference for the Elmo and Friends Couch as he now wants to watch his shows in the morning sitting in it and eating his breakfast.
Don’t worry parents, it’s okay to let your child sit in the Elmo and Friends Couch and enjoy a snack. Clean up is really easy with the Elmo and Friends Couch. The cover unzips off the couch and can go straight into your washer and dryer. Putting the cover back on the couch can take a little work as it is a tight fit, but it goes on eventually without too much difficulty.
There are numerous versions of these toddler couches on the market. I’ve seen them for many different cartoon characters already. This one though ahs Elmo along with Big Bird and other Sesame Street friends. If your child is a fan of either Elmo or Sesame Street this will make a great gift for them. As a parent you will feel good as you are buying something they will use instead of just another toy to throw in the bottom of the toy box.
