God Answers All Prayers – We Just Don’t Listen

When we pray, we all hope that all of our prayers are answered in the way that we want. We do everything that we can to promise God that we will do whatever is wanted as long as we what we are asking for.

Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see our lives changing. God does answer every prayer that we make, just not always the way that we want. When we pray, we all hope that all of our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see our lives changing. God does answer every prayer that we make, just not always the way that we want.

There are four ways in which God answers our prayers. They are either answered with a, “No,” “Grow,” “Slow,” or a “Go.”

No:

The answer to most people’s prayers is probably, “No.” There are certain things that God will just not do for us. No matter how many times we pray that our place of business burns down, it will not happen. God is not someone that is going to send us a million dollars every time that we ask for it.

When we ask god for selfish things, or unrealistic favors, God is going to turn us down. Granted, God is capable of everything, but God does not want us to take advantage of that.

If we were to give a child everything that was asked for, how would that child turn out? That child would most likely become very self-centered. That child would become a spoiled brat who believed that he or she should always get what they wanted.

Grow

The next most common answer for our prayers would have to be, “Grow.” Before we are going to be given what we are asking for, God wants us to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Before God steps in to give us what we are asking for in our prayer, we have to show that we are worthy of it.

God is a great negotiator. We have to realize that God wants to gain our trust, respect, and love many times over before giving us what we want. God is more of a provider of what we need.

If we were to tell a child that they had to do chores before the received a new toy, what would usually happen? That child would do those chores to insure that they received what they wanted.

It is the same with people. When we are wise enough to realize that we have to grow as human beings, God will give us what we are asking for. God wants us to be the best that we can humanly be.

Slow

Another common answer to our prayers has to be to go, “Slow.” We cannot always get exactly what we want right away. Sometimes we have our prayers answered further down the road then we would expect.

As everyday people, we want everything right away without hesitation. The old saying that, “God works in mysterious ways,” holds true to this type of answer for our prayers. We may get what it is that we ask for, we may just have to wait a few days, weeks, months, or years.

Go

Sometimes, we will be wise enough to pray for something that is attainable. When we do this, God will tell us to, “Go get it.” There are very few people that have the wisdom to pray for the correct things at the correct times.

God does answer every single one of our prayers. Society has taught us how to turn off our ability to listen to God, and what is being said. We have to retrain ourselves to hear when God is talking.
