Best 5 Blue Cocktails for Pool Parties

Are you planning on hosting a pool party for your closest friends and family members? Do you want to serve cocktails during the event? If so, you may want to check out a few of my blue colored drink ideas. Each one is a beverage that I have served during similar events. Here they are:

Blue Lemonade

For starters, you may want to think about whipping up a batch of blue lemonade. I like putting the drink on pool party menus because it can be made up ahead of time and served in large pitchers or dispensers. In order to make 12 servings, you’ll need 9 ounces of Blue Curacao, 18 ounces of Absolute Citron and a gallon of lemonade. Just mix all of the ingredients together and place it inside the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it over ice.

Blue Bayou

Another great pool party drink that may be made in advance is the blue bayou. In order to make a dozen servings of the cocktail, you’ll need a can of pineapple juice (46 ounces), a can of white grapefruit juice (46 ounces), 1 bottle of Blue Curacao (26 ounces) and 1 bottle of blue vodka (26 ounces). To assemble the drink, pour the ingredients together inside a large beverage cooler dispenser with some ice. Then place it poolside and let your guests serve themselves.

Blue Whales

Blue whales make excellent cocktails too. However, you can only make part of the drink up ahead of time. In order to serve 12 guests, you’ll need 1 bottle of Peach Schnapps (26 ounces), 1 bottle of Blue Curacao (26 ounces) and bottles of 7-Up or ginger ale soda. Simply mix the Peach Schnapps and the Blue Curacao together and then refrigerate it until party time. You’ll also need to refrigerate the soda. When you are ready to make the cocktail, pour 2 ounces of the alcohol mixture into a glass over ice. Next, top it off with the soda and serve it with a sliced peach.

Blue Flutes

If your pool party is of the elegant variety, you may want to consider serving blue flutes. They can also be partially made up ahead of time. In order to make them, you’ll need 1 bottle of Blue Curacao (26 ounces), 1 bottle of Di Saronno Amaretto (26 ounces), 1 bottle of champagne (26 ounces) and a bowl full of orange twists. The Blue Curacao and the Di Saronno Amaretto may be mixed up and refrigerated in advance. The champagne, because of its carbonation, will need to be chilled and added to the glass right before serving. In general, you’ll want to use approximately 2 ounces of the Blue Curacao mix for each cocktail. That should yield you around 12 servings. The orange twist garnish is optional.

Blue Devils

Last on my list are blue devils. You may opt to make them up ahead of time or on the spot. I like making them in advance so I don’t end up stuck behind the bar for the entire pool party. In order to make them, you’ll need 1 bottle of blue gin (26 ounces), 1 bottle of Blue Curacao (26 ounces) and 12 ounces of sweet ‘n’ sour mix. When you are ready, just combine all three together and serve them with or without a garnish. If you do decide to go with a garnish, I’d recommend using a lemon twist. The drinks tend to look attractive that way.
