BD’s gives a whole new meaning to self service. Once you walk through the door, your escorted to a table with the sound of metal on metal in the background. They always bring rice and tortillas to the table to go with whatever you decide to create. Then you are allowed to play as you please. First you take a bowl and fill it to the brim with prime ingredients such as duck, prime rib, scallops, lobster, shrimp, chicken, even calamari. Then you can add noodles, rice, water chestnuts, mushrooms, baby corn, pepper and much more to you very own creation. Lastly you come to the “sauce and spices bar”. This has many different kinds of sauces and liquid taste enhancing flavors. You can go Asian with Mongolian, Teriyaki, or even Peanut Sauce, or make your meal into fajitas with Spanish seasonings.
Once you have loaded up and your bowl is about to spill onto the floor you continue your trek to the grill where you hand over your handmade mix to the hottest men in town, and I mean hot. These guys stand around a fiery grill that is constantly pouring steam up through the ceiling. They will toss and sizzle your meal together, and hand it back to you in flashy flip of their metal tongs. Although this is not a sit and serve restaurant, and rather noisy due to music and the large visual grill, by the time you sit down your mouth is watering with the delectable scents in the air, and you cannot wait to do it again. Luckily at BD’s its all you can eat, so you can keep creating your own culinary masterpieces until you have to waddle out the door in happy fulfillment.
If you still feel as you are missing out, they also have a salad and soup bar that comes with the price of your meal, allowing you to satisfy any array of palettes. Also just in case you didn’t push your stomach to the limit their Caramel Apple Cobbler will satisfy your sweet tooth and leave you anticipating your next visit. Due to the cooking style it is also a healthy way to eat, for you can decide to only bring veggies to the grill, and nothing is fried. Children get a kick out of the place because they always have ideas how to do their own meals and now they can! A great for the whole family kind of restaurant.
