Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap is Wonderful

I love things that smell nice: soap, shower gel, lotion, powder, anything. Seriously, I do. I go out of my way to make sure that there are good-smelling soaps in my bathroom and shower. I’m a scent freak.

Obviously, scent is a big factor when it comes to choosing a soap. The moisturizing fator is a big deal to me, too. I wash my hands often because I am a substitute teacher in a public school district, and I hate the idea of all of the germs getting onto my hands, then all over everything that I touch. (I’m grimacing even now as I think about it. YUCK!) On top of that, I’m a stage and improv actress, so I’m constantly touching the floor of the stage. I wash my hands so much that they can get very dry if I don’t moisturize immediately after washing. Often times, I don’t have enough time to moisturize, so my hands end up getting dry and flaky. A soap that moisturizes as well is an AWESOME product for me.

As you can tell from my paragraph above, the third thing (that really should go unsaid) when considering a soap is how CLEAN it can get my hands! Anti-bacterial is awesome, although it tends to dry my skin out worse than just plain soap and water.

That is, until I started using Bath & Body Works Antibacterial Soap. I love it. ALl of the scents are wonderful. The soap moisturizes while getting rid of germs. Most of all, it CLEANS your skin!!! It’s anti-bacterial, which means that it gets rid of germs. It also protects your skin from picking up other nasty germs between washings.

There was a rumor a while ago saying that anti-bacterial products are bad for the skin because they get rid of “good germs” as well as the bad ones. My dear readers, this just isn’t the case when it comes to Bath & Body Works Antibacterial Soap. The extra moisturizing element protects your hands, rather than stripping the skin the way that products such as Purell Anti-bacterial Handwash does. With this soap, you’re left with a protective layer that shields the skin for those awful germies.

Bath & Body Works Antibacterial Soap now comes in five different formulas:

Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Soap
This is the original formula. It has little exfoliating beads in it to leave the skin smooth. This one doesn’t moisturize as well as the other two, but it certainly gets the job done. I gave this one to my mom, and she keeps it on the sink in her art room at the high school.

Moisturizing Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap
This is a creamier formula than the original soap. It has added moisturizers to deeply hydrate the skin while leaving it clean and germ-free. I keep this in my bathroom as does my mother.

Gentle Foaming Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap
This soap has a different dispenser which causes the soap to be dispensed in little puffs of foam. It’s not as harsh as the other soaps. Personally, I don’t like this one all that much. Even though I know it cleans my skin, the foam is too light for my taste. I want to be able to actually FEEL the soapiness of my soap, not the foam that comes afterwards.

Kitchen Anti-Bacterial Soap
This soap is specially designed to work against the germs associated with food preparation. My mother and grandmother keep this soap in their kitchens. It comes in four “kitchen-related” scents. This one is really good about getting odors from your hands, such as garlic and fish (from cooking).

Just-For-Kids Foaming Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap
This dispenser is similar to the dispenser of the Foaming Antibacterial Hand Soap. It’s specifically designed for children, and the loud colors and fun scents make kids want to was their hands. Skin is left feeling soft, feeling fresh, and smelling good.

What is the very best ting about this product? Well, you can buy anthing from the Antibacterial Collection at a mere 3 for $10! Not too shabby, if you’re asking me. These soaps all come in 8oz plastic bottles with a pump on top. That’s not even $3.50 each! They last a very long time, they smell wonderful, and they make your sink look nice with the pretty colors they are offered in.

My favorite scent is the Country Apple. There is also Cucumber Melon, Perberry, Raspberry, Lemon, Kitchen Herb, and a few others that I can’t recall at the moment.

You can purchase refills for just $6.50. They make a great gift, especially for holidays such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. They also make terrific stocking stuffers!

If you haven’t tried Bath & Body Works Antibacterial Soap yet, you should. They’re terrific for both genders and all ages. You can’t order them online, though, so get to your nearest Bath & Body Works store and buy, buy, buy!!
